The Posture of Peace

Dancelover blogs about spiritual and emotional growth. In her blog she wrote an article entitled "The Posture of Peace" where she discusses how peace isn't necessarily just the absence of war. It is also the state of being that brings harmony to all we do. Also, within the comments find out what Captain Kirk teaches us about peaceful posturing.

Finding Your Niche In Life

This article at Holistic Living talks about finding that niche in life which is the key to your dreams. It talks about some of the societal reasons we limit ourselves, and most of those are voices of people who want to keep us small. Some are well-meaning parents or family members who don't appreciate an individual's gift. It matters not. We have the power to choose our own lives, regardless.

Is It Unspiritual To Resent Copycats?

In my blog I talk about some of the principles we are currently dealing with in terms of self-aggrandizement and the principle of intellectual property rights. When someone copies us, is it really a form of flattery, as Gandhi suggests, or is this dependent on your point of view? Other views suggest it is theft and plagiarism. By aligning with matriarchal values are we being called to re-examine our views of ownership in our society? Does that mean the end to social recognition for an individual's contributions? All these are questions that I muse upon by looking at the history of various belief systems throughout time.

Higher Self Tech: Motivating Self Without Comparison

Inherent in a patriarchal society and capitalism is the ideal of competition. Without competition it's feared that we won't have the motivation to better ourselves and society. But, is this really true, or merely a system of belief?

We are beginning to see in our society something close to matriarchal societies and how they operate. They are called "open source" communities. They started first with the Internet and now with many open source projects that get started simply by a perceived need in the community. Initially, there is no monetary value and most if not all work is done on a voluntary basis by self-appointed experts. This is something totally contrary to patriarchy and capitalism and, in fact, it would seem such social gatherings would be doomed to failure. We are finding out slowly but surely that this is not the case. Blogging communities can be considered open source forum. Some such as Writingup.com and other individual bloggers are making mainstream media change what they present to the public simply because bloggers write about what interests them and not what pays them money. This leads to people having more of an interest in self-development and finding out what their niche is. Many people in the blogging communities who have concentrated on finding their public voice end up getting paid a lot for their views by other media sources now. But, initially they were all self-motivated and finding their unique voice made it imperative that they not compare themselves to others! Instead, they had to focus on who they are and where their strengths and interest lay. They had to find their individual intents for living.

So, this month, the Self Tech exercise is to try to locate the inner vision for your life. This is the vision of the life that you could create in a pure natural flow as if you were independent of financial or societal issues. You can find that inner vision through your life intent. Everyone has a life intent, it is what they have been choosing to do all their lives but never realized it. It isn't necessarily about material things but it can be.

My life intent is to bring forward those things that are hidden. Everything I have done in my life and even who I am reflects this life intent. It is the theme my life has and the one that has the most natural flow for me. Just looking at me, you can see that I brought forward recessive genes in my family. I often perceive secrets people have hidden and they eventually find ways to disclose them in more acceptance of self. I write about hidden aspects of life and my work typically is to create from hidden code those things that become real to others. Many of my spiritual dramas involve bringing forward hidden material. I often find myself in the role of translator for a variety of languages, whether it be consciousness, verbal, or computer. I am convinced it also is the source of where my riches lie for in fulfilling our life intent we are automatically motivated to do the things we do, regardless of whether someone approves or we make money at them. They come naturally to us and in this fulfillment we also eventually reach our sustainability and happiness.
