The Physics or History of Time Time in scientific thinking is the continuum of events whereby something preceeds or follows another event. However, time also incorporates the sun's movement, seasons, and ages of this world. In order to truly understand the history of time, people from ancient times to now have looked at the stars. The movement of the stars in astronomy are fixed along certain heavenly pathways and thus, ancient calendars were based on the movement of the stars. It is like having a gigantic clockwork above your head. This science can be viewed from the viewpoint of astronomy or astrology. Astronomy quantifies the heavenly bodies and their respective movements. It is a view which looks at each individual heavenly body as standing on its own, with its own rules and heavenly pathway. Astrology views the heavenly bodies as an entire movement of consciousness, the One in the Many, and thus sees the correspondences of planets as it relates to the consciousness paths of the growth of man. Astrology As A Science Today it is common to see our horoscope for our sign located in the entertainment section of the local paper. Birth signs in the West are viewed as superstition from ages past. And the truth is, that unless you get an astrologer who understands what they are viewing, you take your chances getting a good horoscope done. People have lost the understanding of the ancients on how to properly use this science to understand time and its aspects of consciousness. The typical human has lost the key point of knowledge that illustrates that we are made of the same stuff as the stars, and for that reason they determine our birth and our subsequent path in time. And some astrologers have also not realized that the signs have changed in the sky from thier "fixed windows" to other datetime intervals. For the Northern hemisphere, this fact appears to make little difference, but for the Southern, it rearranges the signs of birth into different datetime internvals. This does not, however, preclude getting some very deep insights into the influences of the planets on our present time and for that reason alone, astrology is still a very viable science. We can observe that the stars are the programmers of consciousness already set in motion by the Divine, long before we were born in the physical. We are influenced by them as we influence them. I know that one is a hard one to swallow, but this is a universe where the only reality is that between the observer and the observed. We are looking at time in its multidimensional facets. How Time Determines Our Lives To understand some of these concepts a little more, let's start with a single day. Already, we are programmed to awaken when the sun, a star, comes on the horizon. We sleep when it sets. Does not its movement affect our lives and determine how we live? Now lets look at a calendar. Days flow into weeks, weeks to months, and months to years. What determines the day and time of the week? The movement of the stars. Our major seasons affect how we eat, what we wear, and how we feel. Scientific studies show a loss of daily sunlight can make people depressed. We go through winter, spring, summer, fall, which incidentally correspond to the first four energies in physical matter: earth, water, fire, air. The time of day has an effect on people, but most people are oblivious to it. I notice an energy surge every day at the same time. Truth be told, we don't need alarm clocks to wake us up, the sun has been doing a good job of this for many ages now. We plant things in certain seasons and we reap them in others, all determined by the path of our central star, the sun. The Precession of the Equinoxes So, we can agree that the passage of stars in our skies have a physical effect on us. But, what about our consciousness? This is where the science of astrology takes over from the science of astronomy. The idea behind astrology is to categorize the major influences of the stars on human consciousness. This was done by noticing the entire cycle of the stars in the heaven which takes approximately 25,920 years to complete. This is called the Precession of the Equinoxes. The cycle begins with the sun in the sign of Aries and proceeds through 12 signs of the Zodiac as follows: Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces. In addition, to the ages, the stars in the sky rotate around the sun in the different constellations yearly, following the names of the zodiac in a different order. "The horoscope is a chart showing the positions of the planets, Sun, and Moon in the sky at a person's birth. Their positions are located in the zodiac---a narrow belt of constellations centered on the ecliptic. The ecliptic is the path the Sun takes through the stars throughout the year (as opposed to the arc it travels from sunrise to sunset). The zodiac is divided into 12 signs named after the constellations through which the Sun, Moon, and planets passes. Your ``sign'' is the zodiac sign which the Sun was in at your birth."- Excerpt from http://www.astronomynotes.com/chapter1/s9.htm . Why Is Astrology Important To My Understanding of Time? Multidimensional time isn't just about hours, minutes, and days. It is about the "character" of the time. It is like using a hieroglyph to represent time and its influence on consciousness. We do this by studying the planets and the signs of the Zodiac and understanding the inter-relationship of the inner wheel to the outer wheel. A natal chart is broken up into 12 houses, which correspond to the 12 signs of the Zodiac. Within these 12 houses, the movements of the planets are charted for a particular date, place, and time. The placement of the sun determines your sun sign, also known as birth sign because it rules your conscious existence. The placement of the moon is your moon sign, which typically rules your subconscious. This duality is a pre-existing condition of life in 3D. You can not have a day without a night, a conscious without a subconscious, or evil without good. These are the balancing polarties of life. Even in time, the calendars used to be split between the spring and the winter equinoxes of roughly six months each, representing birth and death. The moment you are born, the consciousness is birthed from spirit within 3D and the inner wheel is locked in placed based on the where the stars were on your birth chart. Along with the signs which move in the houses as time goes around, we have the placement of planets. Each of the planets represents an energy of influence on the consciousness within that solar system. What house the planet falls on the chart determines what will be influenced. This interacts with your inner wheel make-up, to determine the events in your life but not how you will respond to them. This is the outer wheel. The element of free will decides whether you progress from one level of consciousness to another. So, no man becomes multidimensional by the stars alone, but through the efforts he undertakes and supports. No one gets a free ride. The stars merely set the conditions whereby growth is possible. Understanding some of the influences and directions available to us, can help us leapfrog over seeming obstacles to make them our opportunities. This study takes years to learn but it is worthwhile and I recommend for the reader to look up astrology on my links page. What Else Is There To The Study Of Time? Much, much more. Time and space are what keep us fixed in 3D. The fourth dimension is timeless. It is a dimension of the heart where we live in the moment, without past grivances or future fears. All of life is Now. We can reach this level of living through some of the concepts located under the bridges section of reality. I will explore more the correspondence of planets, their characters, and time in the members section for those that are interested in this subject more indepth.
